Phir koi hath ha dil par jaise
Phir tera ahd-e-wafa yaad aaya

Wafaa: Fulfilling A Promise, Fulfillment, Fidelity, Faithful, Sincerity, Sufficiency
Ahd-e-Wafaa: Days of fidelity

Jis tarah dhundh main liptey hue phool
Ek ik naksh tera yaad aaya

Dhundh: Fog, Mist
Lipatna: Embrace, Entangle, Wrap
Naksh: A form of calligraphy

Aisi majboori ka aalam main koi
Yaad aya bhi to kya yaad aaya

Aalam: Beauty, Condition, Nature, Public, Period, Regions, Situation, State, Sorrow, Universe, World

Aye rafiqoon sar-e-manzil ja kar
Kya koi aablaa-paa yaad aaya

Rafiqoon: Exalted ones
Sar-e-manzil: Start of the journey
Aablaa: A blister, a pustule
Aabalaa-paa: Blistered Feet , One Who Has Blisters On The Feet

Jab koi zakhm bhara daag bana
Jab koi bhool gaya yaad aaya

Zakhm: Bruise, Cut, Damage, Felon, Gash, Hack, Harm, Hurt, Injury, Loss,Sore, Wound
Daag: Blemish, Calamity, Grief, Loss, Scar, Stain, Taint
Bhool: Fault, Forgetfulness, Lapse, Mistake, Oblivion, Omission

Yeh mohabbat bhi hai kya rog ‘Faraz’
Jis ko bhoole woh sada yaad aaya
